Greetings from GOOD SHEPHERD! In the name of the Father, and of the +Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Each time we gather in worship we do so in the name of the One who makes Himself known to us as Creator, Redeemer and Sanctifier. During this Pentecost season, we recognize the variety of ways God touches our lives and we strive to respond with lives of faithfulness as we seek to live with God at the center of our daily lives. O come, let us worship our God, and then go out in mission to others in His holy name!

Sunday, October 5- The Twenty-first Sunday after Pentecost: In the gospel reading for this day, Jesus tells a parable of the vineyard, an image of Israel, the prophets' mission, and Christ's death. For Christians the vineyard also speaks of God's love poured out in the blood of Christ, given to us for the forgiveness of sin. Grafted onto Christ the vine at baptism, we are nourished with wine and bread, that we may share Christ's sufferings and know the power of his resurrection. The readings for this Sunday are: 1L- Isaiah 5: 1-7; Psalm 80; 2L- Philippians 3: 4b-14; G- Matthew 21:33-46. On this first Sunday in October we celebrate World-wide Communion Sunday with services of Holy Communion at 8:15AM and 10:30AM.
