Haunted House Decorating Committee - Our next meeting for this committee will be Tuesday night at 6:30 PM. Even if you couldn't make it to the last meeting - we can still use you to help plan our HAUNTED CIRCUS THEME.
KICK-OFF EVENT - On Sunday, September 20 we will have our youth group kick-off event. Everyone from 5th through 12th grade is invited! It's going to be the ULTIMATE PIE FIGHT!!! It starts at 6 PM and should be finished around 8 PM. It will be messy - so be prepared by bringing extra clothes and a towel! Mark it on your calendar! Everyone should bring a snack or a drink to share! You won't want to miss this one. Sign-up at the Youth Bulletin Board.

Greetings from GOOD SHEPHERD!
In the name of the Father, and of the +Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
Each time we gather in worship we do so in the name of the One who makes
Himself known to us as Creator, Redeemer and Sanctifier. During this Pentecost
season, we recognize the variety of ways God touches our lives and we strive
to respond with lives of faithfulness as we seek to live with God at the
center of our daily lives. O come, let us worship our God, and then go out in
mission to others in His holy name!
Saturday, August 29: Mark’s gospel depicts Jesus as challenging
traditional ways in which religious people determine what is pure or impure. For
Jesus, the observance of religious practices cannot become a substitute for
godly words or deeds that spring from a faithful heart. The readings for this
evening are: 1L- Deuteronomy 4: 1-2, 6-9; G- Mark 7: 1-8, 14-15, 21-23. Join
us for our Contemporary Worship beginning at 6:30PM. Come and be moved and
inspired.

CONTEMPORARY SERVICE - Our August Contemporary Service will be Saturday, August 29 at 6:30 PM. This will be our favorite hymn contemporary service. The worship team will practice at 5:30 PM. If anyone would like to vote for their favorite contemporary hymns - just e-mail Mike by Wednesday with the name of your hymn(s)!

TRIP TO NEW YORK CITY - We are getting a bus for Saturday, September 26 to go to New York City. You will be able to take in the sights of the Big Apple. You may also want to see a show. We will sell separate tickets to see a show to be determined at a later date. Sign-up for the bus trip now so we know who will be interested! More details to follow in future E-News editions....
