Greetings from GOOD SHEPHERD!
We rejoice in the wonder of God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit! During
this Pentecost season our attention turns to the matter of discipleship,
responding to God’s gracious love through Christ Jesus, with lives committed to
faithfully doing God’s will each day. The SIX MARKS OF DISCIPLESHIP are:
Daily Prayer, Weekly Worship, Daily Bible Reading, Service, Spiritual
Relationships and Generous Giving through Tithing. May we strive throughout this
Pentecost season to grow as disciples of Christ Jesus our Savior and Lord.
Saturday, July 24: In teaching his disciples this prayer, Jesus also
reminds them to focus on God’s coming reign, God’s mercy, and the strengthening
of the community. Jesus encourages his disciples to child-like trust and
persistence in prayer. The readings for this evening are: 1L- Genesis 18:
20-32; G- Luke 11: 1-13. Join us for our July Contemporary Service, beginning
at 6:30PM.
